The charismatic group is generally defined by the psychological elements of its members. They "(1) have a shared belief system, (2) sustain a high level of social cohesiveness, (3) are strongly influenced by the group's behavioral norms, and (4) impute charismatic (or sometimes divine) power to the group or its leadership" (Galanter 4).

Back Again!

So, it's been five months since my last post. Wow! I just thought I would post again for my own good. As long as I have a website, I might as well use it.

Right now, I'm in Maryville College January term "God at the Movies". We've watched four movies so far, "Breaking the Waves", "Mystic River", "Devil's Playground" and "Saved!" They're pretty good, I believe each movie has been better than the previous one.

On History Channel right now is Breaking the DaVinci Code. For Christmas, I got the book from my grandparents (thanks, it was good!), and read it within the next 3-4 days. Now History Channel is showing how most of the evidence presented in the book does not exist. The Rose Line is not a true geographical line, and there is no proof that DaVinci was in any secret society.

However, I agree that it is very possible Jesus took Mary of Magdalene as a wife. Probably more likely that he did rather than be a bachelor at 30 years of age. I don't hold the Bible as the Word of God, and it neither refutes or proclaims Jesus' marriage. So...I believe that Jesus most likely wed Mary, and she may or may not have had a child after his death. Well, I'm done. I have a paper to write and laundry to do, so good bye!
